Rachel is licensed in the state of New York as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), in the state of Hawai’i as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and is credentialed with the North American Drama Therapy Association as a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT).

Rachel was born and raised in Honolulu, HI and has worked as a trauma-informed drama therapist and mental health counselor with youth, adolescents, and adults in a wide range of settings.

Previous experience includes serving populations including:

  • Individuals experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness;

  • Individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring substance disorders;

  • Families experiencing domestic violence & sexual assault;

  • Youth and families with juvenile justice involvement;

  • Folks experiencing grief & loss, complex trauma, and other issues that exist in our everyday lives and relationships.

Rachel utilizes modalities such as drama therapy and creative arts or play-based interventions, and also integrates counseling interventions, including EMDR.

Everyone has a story that is important and unique.

Rachel’s goal is to support her clients through their journey of figuring out how to be the writer, director, and hero of their own story.

Relationship is the most important therapeutic tool, and Rachel works to ensure that each participant is an equal partner in directing the therapeutic process.
